Forza Horizon 3 Preview at E3 2016
Forza Horizon 3 will be the third entry to Turn 10‘s open world racing series and its first full entry on the PC platform. The player will be tasked to organize the Horizon Festival and make it the most popular in the world. You will also be able to create Blueprints by setting your own parameter for events and sharing them with other players.
There will be over 350 cars available with an in-depth customization system that includes body kits, wheels, and even tire lettering and license plates. Widebody kits like Liberty Walk and Rocket Bunny will be available for select cars. Hopefully the performance tuning will also be as in-depth as the Forza Motorsport games.
The amount of detail that went into creating this world sounded pretty damn impressive. Set in Australia, the new map will be twice as big as it was in Horizon 2. The Australian sky was captured in 12K HDR and looks gorgeous in-game. The environment will have day/night cycles, bodies of water and mixed surfaces from tarmac, gravel and even sand to provide a massive playground for the large roster of off-road vehicles. The open world looks stunning and is a nice change of pace from the somewhat clinical nature of racetracks.

Having played Forza Motorsports Apex on the PC, I’m definitely looking forward to Horizon 3. As much as I love Assetto Corsa and Project Cars, the PC platform definitely needs a game with a large roster of cars and customization. With Gran Turismo Sport releasing around the same time competition will be very fierce!
Forza Horizon 3 will be out September 27th on both XBox One and Windows 10. I have a feeling it’s going to be a highly unproductive end to 2016.
