Motorama 2019 Custom Car and Motorsports Expo – After Show Report

Over 400 cars came together for the fifth annual Motorama show from March 8-10, 2019. From muscle cars, hot rods, imports, exotics to racecars, visitors could find it all across 330,000 sq ft of show floor at the International Centre.

If you have been to car shows or meets in the Greater Toronto Area, you have likely seen the incredible builds from NEXTLEVEL Car Club.

Alan’s S52 swapped BMW E30 is a perfect example of the club’s high standards. It had the quarter cut hood at the show, proudly showcasing the clean OEM level M3 engine swap.

I remember my jaws dropped when I first saw Farid’s widebody Lexus IS300 for the first time at Tires 23 three years ago. The unique body kit is custom fitted and perfectly flows from front to back.

The Lexus is sporting some new upgrades this year. Check out the incredible welds on the 2JZ’s Vibrant Performance titanium intake, done by Matt at GT Customs.

Amazingly, the 2JZ powered IS300 was not the most powerful build there. This R32 Nissan Skyline GTR is putting down over 1,000 hp at the wheels, tuned by Dynamotorsports.

If that sounds outlandish, just take a look at the size of the big single turbo RB26 and make your own judgement.

There are some serious changes in the engine bay of this Honda Civic. Built by a father and son team, the EF9 was in naturally aspirated form at Ertefa last year. Since then, the D16 engine has been boosted courtesy of a Kraftswerk supercharger.
